These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are a binding legal agreement between you and bb-flow that govern your use of the platform, applications, and other offerings from bb-flow (collectively, the “bb-flow platform”). When used in these Terms, “bb-flow,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to the bb-flow entity with whom you are contracting.

The bb-flow platform offers an online platform that enables authors (“Authors”) to submit their manuscripts (“Manuscripts”) to agents or publishers (“Company, Companies”) who have subscribed to the bb-flow manuscript handling system. When you submit to one of these companies from their landing page, you must register an account with bb-flow and must keep your account information accurate. As the provider of the bb-flow platform, we do not own, control, offer or manage any Manuscripts. bb-flow is not a party to the contracts concluded directly between Authors and Companies. bb-flow is not acting as an agent in any capacity for any Authors or Companies.
We maintain other Terms and Conditions that supplement these Terms, such as our Privacy Policy, which describes our collection and use of personal data in accordance with EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
By using the bb-flow platform and by ticking the box at the foot of the sign-up page, you certify that you have read and reviewed this Agreement and that you agree to comply with its terms.

1. Our mission
Our Mission is to innovate the submission path from manuscript to possible publication. The Author is able to safely log and present their Manuscript to the right recipients within the Company, who will subsequently review and respond to the submission. The Companies using bb-flow are provided with an intuitive manuscript handling system that enables them to deal with the submissions in a professional manner, both in terms of time efficiency and data compliance.
2. Submitting your Manuscript through the bb-flow platform
As an Author, bb-flow offers you the opportunity to present your Manuscript to Companies – be it literary agencies or publishers – who have a subscription with bb-flow. It is easy to create a manuscript presentation, and the content we ask you to provide is carefully based on the standard submission policies of the Company you want to target.
When you submit your manuscript to a Company through their landing page powered by bb-flow, you are entering into direct contact with the Company and you are responsible for that relationship yourself.
Your relationship with bb-flow is that of an independent individual or entity and not a client or partner. bb-flow does not control your Manuscript presentation and any correspondences you might have with the Company are handled at your discretion.
The relationship between you and Company is detailed in a separate Terms & Conditions, which you will see at the end of the submission process before clicking “Submit”.
3. Your responsibilities
You are about to log your Manuscript presentation and you hereby warrant that your Manuscript is in no way an infringement of any existing copyright and that it contains nothing obscene or intentionally libellous.
It is your responsibility to make your Manuscript as presentable as possible to the Company you are about to submit to and you understand that bb-flow cannot guarantee a successful outcome.
It is your responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the information you provide in your account settings and you are responsible for maintaining the safety and security of your identifying information. We advise you to create a strong password, keep your login information confidential, and take steps to protect your own devices from malware.
You are also responsible for all activities that occur under your account or password. We advise you to not share your accounts or login credentials with anyone else. If you think there are any possible issues regarding the security of your account on the platform, inform us immediately so we may address them accordingly. We reserve all rights to terminate accounts, edit or remove content and cancel orders at our sole discretion.
Please note that it is your responsibility to maintain your account, checking notifications, liaising directly with the Company you have submitted our Manuscript to.
You must be at least 18 (eighteen) years of age before you can use bb-flow. By using this website, you warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and you may legally adhere to this Agreement. bb-flow assumes no responsibility for liabilities related to age misrepresentation.
4. Provided Content
You grant bb-flow a royalty-free and non-exclusive license to display the content you upload to the Company you have chosen to submit your Manuscript to.
5. No Guarantee of Service Availibility
bb-flow strives to maintain the availability and functionality of our services, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Maintenance, updates, and unforeseen outages may occasionally disrupt service.
6. Security
We ensure that only the Company you are actively submitting to are able to access your Manuscript presentation.
All Companies subscribing to the bb-flow platform have accepted our intellectual property clause, in which they agree to not reproduce or redistribute any intellectual property they come across on the platform.
bb-flow is designed, built and maintained on principles such as ’privacy by design’ and we have a strong focus on protection of personal data. Data processing procedures are integrated into the platform and you are able to revoke access to your manuscript presentation and personal data at any point during or after the submission process via your account with bb-flow.
Whilst the bb-flow platform takes steps to secure user data, 100% security is not guaranteed. You understand that there are inherent risks associated with using online services that are beyond the bb-flow platform’s control and you agree to use the platform at your own risk.
We partner with DigitalOcean to securely store and manage your personal data. Data is stored in data centres that are region-specific to comply with the applicable data protection laws. For instance, data of users located in Europe is stored within the European Economic Area (EEA) at a data centre in Frankfurt, Germany. DigitalOcean complies with relevant security standards to protect your data from unauthorized access or breaches.

7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify bb-flow and its affiliates and hold bb-flow harmless against legal claims and demands that may arise from your use or misuse of our services, including claims related to intellectual property infringement, defamation, or privacy violations, or any claims or damages arising from unauthorized access to your account. We reserve the right to select our own legal counsel.
8. Liability
bb-flow is not liable for any damages that may occur to you as a result of your misuse of our platform.
bb-flow is also not liable for any damages that occur as a result of hacking or unauthorized access, including losses or damages related to data theft, downtime, or service disruptions.
bb-flow reserves the right to edit, modify, and change this Agreement at any time. We shall let our users know of these changes through electronic mail.
9. Applicable law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms shall be exclusively submitted to the courts of Netherlands.
In case of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the issue informally by contacting bb-flow. If a resolution is not reached, disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration in the Netherlands.
10. Changes to the Terms and Conditions
bb-flow reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Authors will be notified of significant changes through the Platform or via email. Continued use of the Platform following changes indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
